After a long time of waiting, The Iraq Inquiry, which is popularly known as Chilcot Inquiry came to light. Sir John Chilcot, chairman of the inquiry board, may be smiling as he has finally done with it. Chilcot Report took five years to disclose its findings after the inquiry concluded. Chilcot Report says the war in Iraq was nothing but unnecessary. It says Saddam Hussain didn’t have the weapons of mass destruction, though it was the main propaganda to create consent of mass people for Iraq war. Report also states that the peaceful ways to solve the problems with Iraq and Saddam Hussain were overlooked and United Kingdom authority was interested in war along with United States.
Chilcot Report is published after 13 years on invasion in Iraq. It creates a base to bring the British people who were inside planning this unnecessary war to justice. But the findings of the report are not totally new at all. Noam Chomskey, in his columns that time said these continuously and he also said that USA and its allies are involving themselves in a war which is influenced by imperialist approach. Moreover the mass people over the world including USA and UK protested against this war and they stated this war is nothing but for the authority of the oil resources of Iraq.
Saddam Hussain was the biggest friend of USA in 80’s. Saddam fought against Iran for eight years backed by USA to destroy the new Islamist nation. But when Saddam came out of control of USA and attacked Kuwait, Saddam became the opposition of US interest in Middle East. Saddam, once a friend of US, became the Frankenstein made by US as well as Bin Laden. But Saddam didn’t have weapons of mass destruction. It was proven through the interrogation of Saddam Hussain. In a documentary of Nat Geo named ‘Interrogating Saddam’, the interrogating officer George Piro of FBI stated that Saddam actually didn’t have any such weapons. During trial Saddam told, \”My God, if I had such weapons, I would have used them in the fight against the U.S,\” referring to the 2003 Iraq War.
The aftermath of the Iraq war is more vulnerable than the actual war was. It was clear that Iraq or Saddam would have to fallen down as they’re not visible even in the comparison of military power against US and its allies. Saddam fell down. It should be the end of Iraq war. But it initiates the war and the new phenomenon of current world, IS. So called Arab Spring in Syria became the proxy war field of USA and Russia, it is also the so called land of Khilafat of IS.USA and its allies consciously created todays IS. We know the Camp Buka of Iraq, where all Sunni prisoners were held and it was more than a training camp of so called Jihadi Islamist Movement than a prison. It was directly under the US authority. Leader of the IS, Abu Bakar Al Bagdadi was one of the prisoners of this camp. When US army left Iraq, they free all the prisoners of Camp Buka, and they’re now carrying the black flag of Islami khilafat and have occupied Syria and Iraq partially. Russia is trying to overthrow IS from Syria, as they have their own interest in Syria, more clearly with Bashar Al Asad. Syria under Asad is the biggest weapon market of Russia. And they can use the Tartus port of Syria duty free. So if the government of Asad falls down and US friendly government took over in Syria, it’ll be a blunder for Russian interest. And after the trying of overthrow Asad through Arab Spring, as it failed, IS is the new name of same trying. That’s why in Syrian peninsula, Russia and US are in a proxy war. There is no need to save mass people, no need to save cities from destruction; there is only one need, Syria under Russia or US. But after all this, we’ll have to remember that, IS is the creation of US through the Iraq war to serve the interest of US and its allies.
After the fall of Soviet Union, US and its allies were in need of a new opposition to rule over the world. They made Islam their opposition. They had a war in Afghanistan to occupy it; they declared Bin Laden the most wanted criminal who was their most embracing friend during Afghan war against the Soviets. After that they occupy Iraq, they capture the outcome of Arab Spring. Now they’re in a proxy war using IS. But it will not be a wrong imagination that IS is a newly growing Frankenstein which is affecting all over the world beyond US interest. Youths all over the world are getting involved through the wrong message of Islam by IS and involving themselves in terrorist activities.
I started the writing with the Chilcot Inquiry Report but ended it with IS connection of US. It is because these things are not different from each other but interrelated. My country Bangladesh is now suffering from terror attacks as well as Paris, Belgium. These are happening in the name of IS. That’s why we want to know the name of those who were inside the creation of IS. One Chilcot Report took five years to come to light. How long it’ll take to discover who are inside IS?
